Below is a listing of other events happening downtown on December 31st. Check back closer to the date for possible additions.
Welcome in the New Year at HeidelBean (Heidelberg UCC, 47 West Philadelphia Street)! Once again this year, The Stray Catechisms will help us rock in the new year as we welcome the community for music and refreshments into our Auditorium on New Year’s Eve. Our doors will be open from 7-10 PM, so you’ll have time to wander to Continental Square for the dropping of the White Rose at midnight. Invite your friends and neighbors to come in for the fun.
Celebrate the New Year Belgian style at Mudhook Brewing Co. (34 North Clarke Avenue), beginning at 3 pm for a night of giveaway prizes, Belgian-inspired food and, oh yeah, the celebration of our Belgian Dubbel craft brew! It’s a Belgian Dubbel New Year to honor the beer and also celebrate a double (or ‘Dubbel’) New Year kicking off with a “pint drop” at 6 pm and again at midnight. All guests will have the opportunity to enjoy their beverages outside on Cherry Lane while listening to live music and enjoying the crisp night air.
Tutoni’s (108 North George Street) invites you to ring in the New Year with a special prix fixe dinner. The chefs have planned five divine courses for this ticketed event. The restaurant will NOT be open to the general public, so be sure to purchase your tickets today, as there are only a limited number of seats available.
York City Pretzel Company (39 West Market Street) will be open until 1 a.m.
York Friends (Quaker) Meeting will host an evening of Music with Friends on New Year’s Eve at the Meeting House (135 West Philadelphia St.). Two sets of music will feature solo and ensemble offerings of vocals, acoustic guitar, and Native American flute and drum, from 7-8:30 p.m. and from 8:30-10 p.m. Join us as we lay down the old and sing in the new year! Light refreshments provided. All are welcome!
New Year’s Eve rocks to a mix of live Ballroom, Swing and Latin music provided by the Gettysburg Big Band Orchestra and filled in with DJ "V" during the breaks in the Grand Victorian Ballroom of the Historic Yorktowne Hotel for non-stop toe tapping fun. Full course sit down dinner with a choice of three entrées.
