VACANCIES / SPECIAL MEETING
York City Council is seeking interested persons to submit resumes for appointment to fill two (2) vacancies that currently exist in the Office of York City Council. Council has declared said vacancies effective January 2, 2018. Council will conduct public interviews of selected candidates during its committee meeting on Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at 6:00 p.m. in Council Chambers, 101 S. George St., York, PA. Immediately following interviews, Council will recess its committee meeting and convene in spe cial session to appoint candidates to fill said vacancies to serve until the first Monday of January 2020. Applicants are asked to make themselves available to attend this meeting should they be selected for an interview. (Council will reconvene its committee meeting following the special session.)
RESUMES ARE DUE BY 12:00 NOON – FRIDAY, JANUARY 12, 2018. NO EXCEPTIONS.
To be considered for the position:
• Candidate shall be at least twenty-one years of age.
• Shall have been a resident of the City for at least one year prior to appointment.
• Shall reside in the City throughout their term of service.
