Special Operations Division

The Special Operations Division commander is responsible for the proactive work by York City Police detectives and officers who target major felony drug offenders, firearms offenders, and fugitives. The Strategic Enforcement Division comprises of the Violence Intervention Unit, Juvenile Enforcement and Engagement Unit, Vice and Narcotics Unit, and the Fugitive Unit.

  This unit primarily investigates drug and related criminal activity. The City’s Nuisance Abatement squad also falls under the Vice and Narcotics Unit due to the frequent parallels in investigations.
