Mayor C. Kim Bracey announces the 3rd year of The City of York’s Legacy Builders Summer Youth Employment Program for City of York youth.

The Legacy Builders Summer Youth Employment Program, is designed to afford the opportunity for 25 (twenty – five) City of York high school students, aged 16 (sixteen) years of age – 18 (eighteen) years of age with the opportunity to obtain meaningful employment, while gaining valuable employability skills.  Students are employed for a period up to 10 (ten) weeks in the program.

“Opening the doors for our youth, while enriching them with the skills and necessary experience to prepare them for their future, is my overarching goal in the development of the program.”  “Thank you to our organizations that are employing our students this summer; the opportunity is still ripe, for other community organizations to step up, open their doors and welcome in our students,” states Mayor Bracey.
