SNOW EMERGENCY DECLARED FOR CITY OF YORK
(March 20th 2018) York, Pa – Due to Winter Storm Toby and the amount of snow that is anticipated to accumulate over a short period of time, the City of York has declared a snow emergency for Tuesday, March 20, 2018 at 5:00pm. Mayor Michael R. Helfrich reminds residents of the City of York that live along a snow emergency route to move their vehicles as directed in the event a snow emergency is declared.

STREET SWEEPING RESUMES MARCH 15thVehicles need to be moved Wednesday evening prior to 12:00am Thursday.York, Pa - Mayor Helfrich announces today that street sweeping will resume on Friday, March 15th, 2019.
Weather permitting, street sweeping will resume March 15th. The first night of sweeping will be on streets posted for the third Thursday of the month from midnight to 6:00am.
Vehicles need to be moved Wednesday evening prior to 12:00am Thursday.
All residents should follow the posted parking restrictions for sweeping. Anyone with questions about street sweeping can call the Highway Bureau at 717-849-2320. The fine for violating parking during “No Parking During Specified Hours” is $50.00.
Weather permitting, York City curbside customers may begin to place yard waste at their designated pick-up point for collection on their normal recycling day, beginning Monday, March 5th.
