Mayor Bracey’s 5th Annual MLK America’s Sunday Supper

On Sunday January 15, 2017 at 4:00 p.m. Mayor C. Kim Bracey and Lincoln Charter School invite you to the The 5th Annual MLK America’s Sunday Supper: Where Do We Go From Here?  The event will take place at Lincoln Charter School, 559 W. King St., York, PA. This is the fifth year for this thought provoking and encouraging event.  The event is free and open to the public and doors will open at 3:30 p.m.
The community is encouraged to join together, share a meal, view a community film and enjoy a guided community discussion on the topic of Unity.
On the date of the event, community members are encouraged to bring as a donation the following items to provide a “Gentlemen’s Bag” to support our young men in the community being mentored by The City of York’s My Brother’s Keeper York, PA Men:  Deodorant, Soap, Toothpaste, Toothbrushes, Socks, Lotion, Mints/Chewing Gum.  Community members unable to attend the event, but interested in providing donations, please bring them to York City Hall, 101 S. George Street, York, PA or Lincoln Charter School, 559 W. King Street, York, PA..
“It gives me great pleasure to once again honor the rich legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. in the City of York by encouraging our community to gather together, give back, and openly discuss our progress in living up to his dreams as a community,” states Mayor Bracey.
MLK America’s Sunday Supper is a national event sponsored by Points of Light, which is inspired by the legacy of Dr. King to invite individuals from diverse backgrounds to come together, share a meal, and discuss issues that affect their community, while highlighting the power that each individual has to make a difference.
