Effective January 1, 2025, the York Water Co. is no longer managing billing and payments for City of York refuse customers. The City instead will handle billing and payments for garbage and other refuse.
Billing for refuse in 2025 will be quarterly instead of monthly, with the first bill scheduled to be issued on January 15, 2025 for the service period of January – March 2025.
Until January 31, 2025, refuse customers can sign into their account or make a one-time payment at https://ipn.paymentus.com/cp/yrkw for charges billed by York Water through December 31, 2024. After the transition, checks must be made payable to “City of York” and mailed to or dropped off at the Treasurer’s Office in City Hall, 101 S George St York PA 17401.
A new online payment option by the City of York is being implemented and further details will be shared when available.
