The City of York will conduct curbside collections of “live” Christmas Trees during the first two full weeks of January.
Collected trees will be chipped into mulch. Please ensure that the trees are completely bare. Remove all plastic bags, lights, tinsel, ornaments and tree stands. Place the tree at your designated collection point during this period of time.
After the first two full weeks in January, the curbside hauler will begin collecting any remaining Christmas trees as regular trash.
Each tree will then count as 1 bag/can in the normal trash limit.
