Texas Avenue between Delaware Ave and 640 Texas Ave. (Wed, August 19th – Thurs, August 20 6pm-6am)
The following special events are scheduled for this weekend and will include associated street closures:
Friday August 28:
- The Martin Luther King Jr Street Dedication will affect College Ave between Belvidere Ave and Edgar St. Intermittent road closures will begin at 10:00am for a procession to Penn Park, where a dedication ceremony will begin at 11:00am. College Ave between Pershing Ave and George St will be closed, and Beaver St between Princess St and College Ave will be closed until the conclusion of the ceremony, at around 12:00pm. Motorists are encouraged to use Princess St as an alternate route during the closures between 10:00am and 12:00pm.
Saturday August 29:
- Get Crafted-Cigar Box Festival will happen in the Royal Square district near King St and Duke St between 8:00am and 8:00pm. Road closures include: Duke St between Princess St and King St, Howard St between Newton Ave and King St, Newton Ave between King St and Howard St.
- Dining in the Street will close George St between Philadelphia St and North St between 3:00pm and 10:00pm.
Sunday August 30:
- Welcome Bash will close Chestnut St between Pine St and Broad St between 10:00am and 2:00pm.
The following streets will be CLOSED for Water Main replacement by The York Water Company.
