We’ve made significant strides with the Complete Communities Initiative, transforming neighborhoods through revitalization efforts, economic opportunities, and resident engagement.
Looking ahead, we are launching new programs that focus on sustainable growth, housing improvements, and promoting small businesses. 2025 AARP Community Challenge Grants
Apply for Grant Funding by Wenesday, March 5, 2025, 5:00pm ET
AARP invites you to submit applications for tangible improvement projects that can help YOUR community become more livable for all residents, especially those 50 and older. Applications are being accepted through March 5, 2025, 5:00 p.m. ET for grants to improve public places; housing; transportation; community resilience; and digital connections across three funding opportunities – Flagship Grants, Demonstration Grants and Capacity-Building Microgrants. Since 2017, AARP has invested $20.1 million through 1,700 projects across all 50 states, D.C., Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

York 2044: Shaping York’s Future
The 2044 York Comprehensive Plan (final draft) is now available, setting a bold vision for the city’s future. This comprehensive plan outlines key strategies for growth, sustainability, infrastructure development, and enhanced quality of life for residents. As York looks ahead to 2044, this plan will serve as a roadmap for thoughtful and inclusive urban planning, ensuring a prosperous and vibrant community for years to come.
