Elite Company Picnic from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Cherry Lane will be closed from North St to Gay Avenue.
Saturday, September 18
Trent 21 (Ruck/5K) is from 6:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and will start and end at the Gold Star Memorial at Veterans Stadium. Sheepdog Security will be out along the route for traffic control. City streets that will be affected include Vander Avenue and Boundary Avenue.
Springdale Neighborhood Association Block Party from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Arlington Road will be closed from Merion Road to Arrow Alley.
York Y Kids Triathlon at the Graham Aquatic Center on N. Newberry St from 8:30 a.m. to 1:00p.m. Road closures will affect Newberry Street, Madison Avenue, Parkway Boulevard, Pennsylvania Avenue and the roads immediately around Kiwanis Lake and Noonan Park. Sheepdog Security will be out along the route for traffic control. Motorists can use Roosevelt Avenue and George Street to get around this event. Pennsylvania Avenue traffic can use Willis Road to get to Smith Street and the Parkway neighborhood.
Block Party at 353 E. King St from 3:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Home Way will be closed between Reinecke Place and King Street.
Cease Fire Block Party from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. West Street will be closed from King Street to Princess Street.
Collaboration Over Competition (vendors and food trucks) at Jim Gross Park from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
West Poplar Street Church of God Block Party from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Poplar Street will be closed from Richland Avenue to Sheridan Street.
Renda Wedding in Cherry Lane from 3:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. Cherry Lane will be closed from Philadelphia Street to Clarke Avenue.
Block Party from 12:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. at 910 Clayton Avenue. Clarke Avenue will be closed behind 910 Clayton Avenue.
3rd Annual Youth & Family Fishing & Conservation Day at Kiwanis Lake from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Sunday, September 19
Bridging Our Community of Faith at Renaissance Park from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Due to the road closures, intermittent road closures, and expected pedestrian traffic at and around these events, motorists are asked to use extreme caution when driving through York City this weekend.
