2019 Bike Night Street Closings & Advisories

The City of York will be hosting the 25th annual Bike Night on Saturday September 21, 2019 in Center City York.  The event will take place from 4:00PM until 10:00PM and is a free event to the public.  Visitors to Bike Night will be treated to live music and entertainment as well as food and merchandise vendors selling their wares on Market and George Streets.

Motorcycles will flood downtown York starting at 5:00 PM when the annual parade leaves the York Fairgrounds by the Madison Ave. gate and travels south on N. Richland to W. Market St., back to the downtown area.  Persons traveling along these routes should expect delays while the roads are closed briefly for the parade.  Keep in mind that King St. and Princess St. can be used as alternate routes for east and west bound travel.

  • W. Market St. from Pershing Ave. to Queen St.
  • Beaver St. from W. King St. to W. Philadelphia St.

Streets Closed from 11:00AM-11:00PM

  • George St. from King St. to Philadelphia St.

Parking Restrictions

  • 1st blocks of North and South George St. — 9:00AM-11:00PM
  • Market St.  from Pershing to Queen — 1:00PM-11:00PM
  • Beaver St. from Phila to King — 1:00PM-11:00PM

Parking will be available for motorcycles only on these streets, beginning at 2:00PM. These restrictions will be lifted at 10:00PM.

Parking will be available at the Philadelphia St. & King St. garages. Due to the event, the Market St. garage will be closed. Persons traveling in the area of this event should expect delays and pay attention to officials directing the traffic flow.

As with any special event, dogs and bicycles are not permitted within the event area. Parade participants driving recklessly will be subject to arrest and impoundment of their vehicles. Motorcycles not moved from traffic lanes in the downtown area by 10:00PM Will be towed at the owners expense.
