The York City Police Department will be hosting its 2nd annual “Santa Drive” throughout York City on Friday, December 16th from 6pm until 8pm (or until finished). The York City Police, along with the York City Fire Department, York City School District Police, and additional agencies, will be driving through various city neighborhoods to celebrate the holiday season with Santa Claus and the Grinch. Keep an eye out during this time for lights and sirens announcing their arrival, then come out to wave hello.
The 1st annual “Letters for Santa” will happen between now and Friday, December 16th. Please drop off your child’s letter to Santa in the Santa Mail Box located in the lobby of the York City Police Department station at 50 W. King St between 6 am and 10:30 pm. You can also pick up a letter to fill out in the station lobby. Please include a return address for the letter if your child would like a letter back. When Santa stops by the station for the drive on December 16th, he will answer the letters and the Police Department will mail them back for him.
