Sunday, May 16th
On Sunday, May 16th, “York YMCA Marathon and Half Marathon” will close the 1stblock N. Newberry St from 5:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.
There will also be intermittent closures of Newberry St. from Market St. to Princess St., and Princess St. from Newberry St. to Pershing Ave. as runners move to the Rail Trail.
Waves of runners will be started every 10 minutes during that time. Wright Contracting will be handling traffic control for this event.
Monday, May 17th
On Monday, May 17th, “Boots to the Booth” block party will close Pershing Ave. between Lafayette St. and Kurtz Ave. from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Motorists are encouraged to exercise patience and use extra caution in this area due to the large number of participants attending these events.
