Please join city staff, the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection, and others at a free workshop on the basics of brownfields. The workshop will take place from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm on Tuesday, October 24 at WellSpan Park, 5 Brooks Robinson Way. A networking opportunity will follow.
Brownfields are a property whose reuse may be complicated by the potential presence of a hazardous substance, pollutant, or other contaminant. The workshop’s focus is on building the knowledge and contacts needed to help navigate the process of bringing a brownfield back into use. Information will also be provided on the funding sources for brownfields development.
