Large Item Pickup Service to Resume with Modified Operations and Hours

Monday Through Thursday 10:00 A.M. – 2:00 P.M.

“LIVE” Calls Only – Begins Monday, September 14th

On Monday, September 14th, the City of York will resume scheduling household items for pick-up using a modified procedure. Large item pick-up calls will be routed to a temporary phone number set up exclusively for this purpose. Large item pickup has been suspended since August 5th, following the attack on the City of York’s infrastructure.

Beginning Monday, September 14th residents may call (717) 600-7055 from 10:00am to 2:00pm Monday through Thursday to schedule their pickup time.

Because only one call can be handled at a time, customers may get a voice message even during these hours.  This simply means the attendant is handling another call.  Please try again in a few minutes if you receive this message.

Messages left on the machine will not be returned.  To schedule, you must call the temporary phone line (717) 600-7055 Monday through Thursday, 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.

Scheduled items must be placed at the pick-up point after 5:00 p.m. the night before and by 6 am on the day of your scheduled collection.  Property maintenance inspectors may cite violations for unscheduled items or items placed too early outside of properties.

Your continued understanding and patience is very much appreciated.
