New Chief of Staff For The City Appointed By Mayor Helfrich
(August 8, 2022) York, PA — Major Michael Helfrich today announced the appointmnent of Scott Miller to the position of Chief of Staff for the City of York. Miller began his position on him on August 1.
“Scott Miller has a background in public service at both the state and federal levels. He spent more than eight years as Chief of Staff to Congressman Todd Platts (York PA) and nearly three years as Legislative Director to Platts prior to then,” said Helfrich. “In my former life as an environmental advocate, we worked to get support for an improved environment. I am excited to bring the skills I know he has into the service of the people of York City.”
Miller has a BA from York College and a law degree from Widener University. He is a native of York County. Miller’s focus will be communicating and bringing to fruition the goals and initiatives of Mayor Helfrich.
“This position is an exciting opportunity to improve the lives of the people of York,” said Miller. “I am committed to working hard and collaboratively on behalf of the City’s residents, community organizations, and businesses.”

(8 de agosto de 2022) York, PA — El alcalde Michael Helfrich anunció hoy el nombramiento de Scott Miller para el cargo de Jefe de Gabinete de la ciudad de York. Miller comenzó su cargo el 1 de agosto.
“Scott Miller tiene experiencia en el servicio público tanto a nivel estatal como federal. Pasó más de ocho años como Jefe de Gabinete del Congresista Todd Platts (York PA) y casi tres años como Director Legislativo de Platts antes de esa fecha”, dijo Helfrich. “En mi vida anterior como defensor del medio ambiente, trabajamos para obtener apoyo para mejorar el medio ambiente. Estoy emocionado de poner las habilidades que sé que tiene al servicio de la gente de la ciudad de York”.
Miller tiene un B.A. de York College y una licenciatura en derecho de Widener University. Es nativo del condado de York. El enfoque de Miller será comunicar y hacer realidad las metas e iniciativas del alcalde Helfrich.
