Street Closings and Traffic Advisories

Friday September 10

Friday September 10, a block party will close a portion of the 100 block W. Cottage Place between Beaver Street and Pershing Avenue from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

Friday September 10 and Saturday September 11

“Rawchella” Music and Arts Festival will be at Kiwanis Lake from 12:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.  There are no road closures for this event.

Saturday, September 11

Saturday, September 11, “King Street Jam” Festival/Concert will close multiple City streets from 5:00 a.m. to 11:30 p.m.  Mason Avenue, King Street and Newton Avenue will be closed between Duke Street and Queen Street.  Howard Street and Miller Lane will be closed between Princess Street and Market Street.  Duke Street, Queen Street, Princess Street, and Market Street will remain open.  Trucks can detour around the event area using Princess Street and Queen Street.

Saturday, September 11, “York Academy 5K” will start and end at the York Academy School at the intersection of North Street and Beaver Street.  Road closures for this event include North Street, Gay Avenue and Gas Avenue between Beaver Street and George Street.  Cherry Lane will be closed from North Street to Gas Avenue.  There will also be intermittent closures along the route of the run, including on N. Beaver Street, Hamilton Avenue, and N. George Street as runners go to the Rail Trail along Small Field.

Due to the road closures, intermittent road closures, and expected pedestrian traffic at and around these events, motorists are asked to use extreme caution when driving through York City this weekend.
