Traffic Advisory for St. Patrick’s Day Parade

The annual York St. Patrick’s Day Parade will be held on Saturday March 14, 2020, starting at 1:00 PM. Line-up for the Parade begins at 11:30 a.m. The parade will begin at the intersection of Market and Penn Streets and travel east on Market St. to the intersection of Market and Queen Streets.

Market St. (and its intersecting streets) will be closed from Belvidere Ave. to Penn St. starting at 9:00 AM.

The following streets will be closed starting at 12:30 AM until the end of the parade:
• Market St. from Penn St. to Queen St.
• George St. from Philadelphia St. to King St.
• These streets will remain closed until the conclusion of the parade

Parking will be restricted on Market St. from Belvidere to Penn St. starting at 9:00 AM. Additionally, parking will be restricted from Penn St. to Queen St., and George Street from Philadelphia Street to King Street after 9:00 AM. Any vehicle parked on these streets after the specified time will be subject to a fine and towing.

Anyone traveling in this area should expect delays and utilize King St. as an alternate route for east bound travel through The City. This is a free event for all to enjoy.

City ordinances prohibit BICYCLES, ROLLER BLADES, SKATEBOARDS, & DOGS on the parade route. These restrictions do not apply to parade registrants. Alcohol is prohibited for all.

Motorists are encouraged to exercise patience and use extra caution in this area due to the large number of participants attending these events.
