On Sunday July 5, 2020 at 2347 hours, the City of York Department of Fire/Rescue Services was dispatched to 26 N. State St. for a residential structure fire, smoke from the roof. While responding to this incident, Engine 99-1 was involved in a motor vehicle accident with a motorcycle at the intersection of E. Market St and N. Broad St.
The motorcyclist sustained injuries and was transported to York Hospital where he was admitted for his injuries. The three (3) firefighters onboard Engine 99-1 were not injured.
The accident is being investigated by Pennsylvania State Police and the York City Police Department.
