No Hate in Our State Town Hall

The City of York Human Relations Commission announces the “No Hate in Our State Town Hall” on September 3, 2025 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at York City Hall, 101 S George St. Speakers will include Clare Twomey, Director of the York Human Relations Commission; Rev. D. Marie Tribble, Pastor of Heidelbergh United Church of Christ; and Christina Wingert, Executive Director of the Rainbow Rose Center. The panel will be moderated by Sheryl Meck, Director of the Pennsylvania Human Rights Commission’s Civil Rights Division.

In light of the most recent reported act of violence and hate in the City of York, the York Human Relations Commission invites all to attend the upcoming town hall. The Commission asks you to come join in support the LGBTQIA plus community. And to voice your ideas on what we can do next.

No Hate in Our State is intended to bridge divides and foster understanding in our community. It will provide an open forum where residents, activists, and others can come together to voice their concerns, learn about their rights, and begin the healing process.
