PHILADELPHIA STREET CLOSURE JULY 28-30,

(7 July 2023) York, PA — Due to construction at the Appell Center, West Philadelphia Street from North George Street to North Beaver Street is scheduled to be closed the weekend of July 28th to 30th, 2023. The rain date will be the weekend of August 25th to 27th, 2023.
The closure will begin at 5 am on Friday and is expected to end by 8 pm on Sunday. No parking will be in effect on the construction area of West Philadelphia Street a day prior to the start of construction.
Access to the Philadelphia Street garage will be cut off during the construction. Vehicles will not be able to enter the garage, but vehicles will be able to exit on to Gas Avenue. People with monthly access to the Philadelphia Street garage also will be able to park at the City parking garages located at the corner of West King Street and South George Street as well as on the first block of East Market Street.
Alternate parking will remain available on Saturday and Sunday at the City parking lots located at the corner of West Philadelphia Street and Pershing Avenue, the 200 block of North Beaver Street, and the 200 block of West Market Street. Any parked vehicles on these lots without a permit will have to be moved prior to 7 am Monday morning.
Westbound traffic on Philadelphia Street will have the option of turning left or right at George Street. Because of the option of turning right, outdoor dining on North George Street will not be occurring the weekend of the construction.
Truck traffic should avoid the area and use Princess Street as an alternate route.
Cherry Lane between Clarke Avenue and Philadelphia Street will also be closed.

(7 de julio del 2023) York, PA – debido a la construcción en el Appell Center, la calle West Philadelphia desde North George Street hasta North Beaver Street está programada para cerrar el fin de semana del 28 al 30 de julio de 2023. La fecha de lluvia será el fin de semana del 25 al 27 de agosto de 2023.
El cierre comenzará a las 5 am del viernes y se espera que termine a las 8 pm del domingo. No habrá estacionamiento en el área de construcción de West Philadelphia Street un día antes del inicio de la construcción.
El acceso al garaje de la calle Philadelphia estará cortado durante la construcción. Los vehículos no podrán ingresar al garaje, pero podrán salir a Gas Avenue. El tráfico de camiones debe evitar el área y usar Princess Street como ruta alternativa.
