The City of York would like to notify residents and visitors that on Monday, December 21st, 2020, there will be a community event called “400 Give Back” at Voni Grimes Gym, 125 E. College Avenue from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. College Avenue will be closed between Duke Street and Howard Street during that time to allow for vehicles to pull up to the front of the gym, receive the donation, and drive away.
Also, on Monday December 21st, 2020, there will be a peaceful community march for Awareness Against Violence. The event will begin at the intersection of Philadelphia Street and Broad Street at 2:00 p.m. The path of the march is west along Philadelphia Street, south along George Street, and west along King Street. The planned ending location is 50 W. King Street. There will be no road closures. Participants will remain on the sidewalks during the march. However, motorists should exercise due caution while driving through those areas.
