The City of York reminds residents and property owners that the Property Maintenance Code requires snow and ice be removed from sidewalks within 12 hours of the end of a winter weather storm.

Curbside Collections Delayed 1 Day for Remainder of This Week

Due to the overnight snow and hazardous driving conditions, the City of York announces to curbside trash customers that there be NO curbside collections Monday, January 26th. This affects collections Tuesday through Friday.

Snow Emergency Lifted 8 AM, City Hall Closure

The City of York has removed its declared snow emergency as of Monday, January 26 at 8:00 am. With the lifting of the snow emergency, all vehicles must be removed from the designated free parking locations established during the snow emergency by 8:00 am on Tuesday, January 27.

City of York Refuse Department Announces New Online Portal and Payment Options

The City of York Refuse Department has updated their payment options to include in-person payments with cash, check/money order, or debit/credit card; mailing checks or money orders payable to “City of York Treasury” at 101 S George St, York, PA 17401—please be sure to include your PIDN; and a new online payment system via https://public.opengov.com. When registering your new online account, it is essential to use the same email address as your previous account to facilitate seamless access.

E Philadelphia St Closure from January 23rd to 25th Around the York County Judicial Center

Due to the County of York replacing the HVAC cooling tower on the roof of the Judicial Center at 45 N. George Street, East Philadelphia Street will be closed from North Duke Street to North George Street from 5:00 AM Friday, January 23 through Sunday evening, January 25. A crane will be placed on East Philadelphia Street for this work.
