York City Announces Listening Tour

The City of York is updating its comprehensive plan for the next 20 years. To kick off this effort, the planning team is holding ten listening sessions throughout the city. At each session, City of York staff will give an overview of the comprehensive planning process. In groups, attendees will discuss the issues facing their neighborhood and the city.

The ten sessions will be at various locations throughout the city from November 25 to December 16. The first session will be held Monday, November 25 from 1:00 to 2:30 PM at RAYAC Offices (901 Smile Way).

Stay tuned to social media and City of York press releases for the dates, times, and locations of the other listening tour stops.

A comprehensive plan addresses a variety of topics for a community: population trends, transportation, housing, economic conditions, land use, and more. For more information, the state’s Municipalities Planning Code explains the requirements for a comprehensive plan.
