York Community Christmas Tree Arrives November 20th

Mayor Michael R. Helfrich today announced that the Community Christmas Tree will arrive in Continental Square in downtown York on Wednesday, November 20, 2019 at approximately 8:30 a.m. This year’s tree has been donated by John and Kathy Rhoads of York.
The tree will be cut and moved to the square with the help of Kinsley Construction (crane and operator, truck) and the York City Electrical Bureau.

Mayor Helfrich extends an enthusiastic thank you on behalf of all the residents of York City and County to John and Kathy Rhoads and Kinsley Construction for their generous donations.

You may follow the progress of the tree on twitter: https://twitter.com/ContSqTreePA or on the City of York Facebook page, where the trip will be livestreamed. Media interested in joining Kinsley and the City of York for the cutting and removal of the tree should reach out directly to Mary Yeaple.

The tree will be decorated in preparation for the annual Light Up York ceremony to be held on the square on Saturday, December 7, 2019. For more information on Light Up York contact York City Special Events:
