Artists of all sorts and other vendors will set up at the Colonial Courthouse and the nearby York County Rail Trail as part of Yorkfest in downtown York City, Saturday and Sunday, August 30 and 31, 10 am to 6 pm. Yorkfest is an annual tradition in the city, where vendors display art, crafts, and other talents.
This year Yorkfest returns to its historic location of the Colonial Courthouse at 205 W Market St and the Rail Trail. On the Rail Trail, residents and visitors can walk outdoors with patches of trees and creek-side views, see what is being offered by vendors, and buy something unique.
Cherry Lane Park will also participate as a music venue for Yorkfest. Gift Horse brewery at 117 N George St is hosting a Meet the Artists from 6 to 8 pm on the Friday before Yorkfest. In addition, the Handsome Cab restaurant is hosting Arts on the Block, Saturday and Sunday, August 30 and 31, 10 am to 5 pm. The 100 block of N George St will be closed for this block party celebrating art. There will be an art sale, plein air artists, a kids corner, a crafts table, and an artistic painting of the “blue wall” that was erected to create space for more outdoor dining.
