The City of York Human Relations Commission will host “The Mosaic of York City: Celebrating Community and the Role of the Human Relations Commission” on Thursday, September 17, 2026, from 5:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Valencia Ballroom in York, Pennsylvania. The event will bring together residents, business leaders, community organizations, and local officials to celebrate the diversity that strengthens York City and highlight the Commission’s work promoting fairness, inclusion, and equal opportunity.
The community event will feature dinner, music, networking opportunities, and educational presentations about the mission and services of the Human Relations Commission. Attendees will gain a better understanding of how the Commission assists residents who experience discrimination in housing, employment, and public accommodations.
A highlight of the evening will be a keynote address by Jamiel Alexander. His work focuses on community advocacy and fostering inclusive environments where people from all backgrounds can thrive.
