RESIDENTIAL FAIR PARKING PERMITS AVAILABLE
The City of York provides parking permits for residents that live on designated blocks/streets during the York Fair, which runs from July 18th to July 27th, 2025. In order to identify a resident’s vehicle, a permit system was developed. All residents living within the established area, wishing to park their vehicles on the street during the fair, must have a permit properly displayed to avoid receiving a parking fine.There is a limit of three (3) permits for each household.
If you obtained a permit for the Rock the Country Festival, permits have been automatically mailed to you. If they are not received by July 9, 2025, please obtain them from City Hall or the Police Station.
If you did not obtain a permit for the Rock the Country Festival, pease bring proof of residency and registration cards for each RESIDENT vehicle needing a permit. VISITOR vehicles will not require a registration.
A permit is valid only within one block of the holders’ residence. Parking outside your immediate area could result in a fine. Motorcycles will be issued permits too. Motorcycles should park on the street and not the sidewalk.
Street sweeping in the residential fair parking area will be suspended during the fair.
All normal parking laws remain in effect. The parking permit does not give you permission to park illegally.
Permits will be available Tuesday, July 1st, 2025 thru Sunday, July 27th, 2025. Permits will be distributed from the Treasurer’s Office in City Hall located at 101 South George Street weekdays from 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. and from the Police Department (located at 50 West King Street) weekdays from 4:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m.
FAIR PARKING PERMIT GUIDELINES
Permit parking is in effect 24 hours a day for the duration of the fair.
Parking Enforcement Officers will be on patrol during this time.
Permits must be displayed on the driver’s side rear window so it is visible from the street. We ask that you tape the permit to the window. If the vehicle’s driver side rear window is tinted, you may place the permit on the center of the dashboard. Placing the permit in the wrong location may result in a parking citation.
Permits must remain with the vehicle it was issued to. The registration number on the permit must be the same as the license plate on the vehicle. Permits cannot be transferred from one vehicle to another. Permits must be properly displayed by midnight July 18th , 2025 or the vehicle may be subject to a parking citation.

PERMISOS DE ESTACIONAMIENTO DISPONIBLES PARA LA FERIA RESIDENCIAL
La Ciudad de York ofrece permisos de estacionamiento a los residentes que viven en las manzanas o calles designadas durante la Feria de York, que se celebrará del 18 al 27 de julio de 2025. Para identificar el vehículo de un residente, se desarrolló un sistema de permisos. Todos los residentes que vivan dentro del área establecida y deseen estacionar sus vehículos en la calle durante la feria deben tener un permiso debidamente exhibido para evitar una multa de estacionamiento. Hay un límite de tres (3) permisos por hogar.
Si obtuvo un permiso para el Festival Rock the Country, se le enviará automáticamente por correo. Si no lo recibe antes del 9 de julio de 2025, solicítelo en el Ayuntamiento o en la Comisaría.
Si no obtuvo un permiso para el Festival Rock the Country, por favor, traiga un comprobante de domicilio y las tarjetas de registro de cada vehículo RESIDENTE que necesite un permiso. Los vehículos de VISITANTES no requieren registro.
Un permiso es válido solo dentro de una cuadra de la residencia del titular. Estacionar fuera de su área inmediata podría resultar en una multa. También se emitirán permisos para motocicletas. Las motocicletas deben estacionarse en la calle, no en la acera.
El barrido de calles en el estacionamiento residencial de la feria estará suspendido durante la feria.
Todas las leyes de estacionamiento normales siguen vigentes. El permiso de estacionamiento no autoriza a estacionar ilegalmente.
Los permisos estarán disponibles del martes 1 de julio de 2025 al domingo 27 de julio de 2025. Los permisos se distribuirán en la Oficina del Tesorero en el Ayuntamiento, ubicada en 101 South George Street, de lunes a viernes de 9:00 a.m. a 4:00 p.m., y en el Departamento de Policía (ubicado en 50 West King Street), de lunes a viernes de 4:00 p.m. a 10:00 p.m.
DIRECTRICES PARA PERMISOS DE ESTACIONAMIENTO EN LA FERIA
Los permisos de estacionamiento estarán vigentes las 24 horas del día durante la feria.
Los agentes de control de estacionamiento estarán patrullando durante este tiempo.
Los permisos deben exhibirse en la ventana trasera del lado del conductor, de manera que sean visibles desde la calle. Le pedimos que los fije con cinta adhesiva a la ventana. Si la ventana trasera del lado del conductor del vehículo está polarizada, puede colocar el permiso en el centro del tablero. Colocar el permiso en un lugar incorrecto puede resultar en una multa por estacionamiento.
Los permisos deben permanecer con el vehículo para el que fueron emitidos. El número de matrícula del permiso debe ser el mismo que el de la placa del vehículo. Los permisos no se pueden transferir de un vehículo a otro. Los permisos deben exhibirse correctamente antes de la medianoche del 18 de julio de 2025; de lo contrario, el vehículo podría recibir una multa por estacionamiento.
