Mayor Sandie Walker to Host State of the City on October 1

Mayor Sandie Walker will host the return of State of the City on Thursday, October 1, inviting York residents, businesses, community leaders and partners to come together for an evening focused on the city’s progress, priorities and future.

The event will take place at 6 p.m. at the Appell Center for the Performing Arts and will provide an opportunity to hear directly from Mayor Walker about where York stands today, the progress being made across the city and the work ahead.

“The future of York is being built every day – block by block, business by business and neighborhood by neighborhood,” said Mayor Sandie Walker. “State of the City is an opportunity to celebrate the progress we’ve made together, talk openly about where we’re headed and recognize the people who are helping build the York we all want to see.”

The evening will explore the priorities shaping York’s future and highlight the people, partnerships, and work helping move those priorities forward.

“This isn’t just about looking back at what we’ve accomplished,” Walker said. “It’s about looking ahead and asking what’s possible when we continue working together. I’m excited to share where we are, where we’re going and the vision we’re building for York’s future.”

State of the City is free and open to everyone, but registration is required. Complimentary light appetizers will be available, along with a cash bar. The evening will include live performances & the Mayor’s Award Recognitions.
