The City of York has sought ways to ensure outdoor dining on N George St can take place in an environment that keeps two-way traffic on the street open and yet also makes space for a unique dining experience. As part of this effort, the city has installed a traffic barrier along restaurants on the 100 block of N George St that will keep space for outdoor dining without obstructing traffic.
The barrier is located on the southbound lane of the block but does not interfere with southbound traffic. The city will be painting the concrete barriers with a base. Restaurants next to the barriers are allowed to add creative touches to create a signature look for our 100 block on N George St.
