The public is invited to attend a reception in honor of City of Aguadilla Mayor Julio Roldán Concepción and other dignitaries from Puerto Rico on Wednesday, September 24, 2025 from 6-8 pm at PDS Church, 325 Mulberry Street.
Aguadilla is York City’s newest “sister city.” The sister city arrangement is intended to facilitate economic development, tourism, education, trade, community engagement, and good will between the people of the two cities.
Mayor Helfrich reached out to the City of Aguadilla earlier this year to be York’s third sister city. The goal is to foster relations with a Hispanic city in light of York’s own Hispanic population. York’s two other sister cities are Arles, France and Leinfelden-Echterdingen, Germany.
