Stop Sign to Be Switched at Richland Avenue Intersection to Increase Neighborhood Safety

On Monday, June 19 at 10:00 am, the City of York will remove the “Stop” sign on the northeast corner of Linden Avenue at Richland Avenue and install a new “Stop” sign on the northwest corner of Richland Avenue at Linden Avenue. Motorists traveling westbound on Linden Avenue will no longer need to stop when they reach Richland Avenue. Motorist using Madison Avenue to travel southbound will now need to stop when they reach the Richland and Linden Avenue intersection.

This change in “Stop” signs will encourage motorists traveling southbound on Carlisle Road to use Linden Avenue rather Madison Avenue. This in turn makes a much safer neighborhood in the area for our residents to live and play.
