The following events will take place this weekend and affect traffic in the City of York:
Friday, October 7
- First Friday will close Beaver St between Philadelphia St. and King St. from 4:00pm to 9:00pm.
- October First Friday/Public Safety Event will close King St. between Duke St. and Howard St from 5:00pm to 9:00pm.
Saturday, October 8
- George Street Dining will close George St. between Philadelphia St. and North St. from 1:00pm to 11:00pm.
- York High Homecoming Parade will cause intermittent road closures between 10:00am and 11:00am along the parade route, which includes Beaver St., Market St., and George St.
- York High Homecoming Dance will close Pershing Ave between Princess St. and College Ave. from 4:00pm to 6:00pm.
Sunday, October 9:
- Farm to City Dinner will close Beaver St between Philadelphia St. and Market St. between 7:00am and 8:00pm.
Motorists should exercise caution in these areas due to increased pedestrian traffic in these areas.
