The following events will take place this weekend and affect traffic in the City of York:
Friday September 8
- George Street Dining will close North George Street between Philadelphia Street and North Street from 5:30 pm to 10:00 pm.
- Second Friday Latino Hispanic Diversity Festival will close George Street between Philadelphia Street and Market Street from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
- Philadelphia Street will remain open to through traffic during these two events.
Saturday September 9
- George Street Dining will close North George Street between Philadelphia Street and North Street from 1:00 pm to 10:00 pm.
- House of 2nd Chances Opioid Awareness Walk will begin at Small Field, move west on Hamilton Avenue, then south on Beaver Street to Penn Park, where the rest of the event will happen. The walk will begin at 11:00 am and will be escorted by York City Police. The event at Penn Park will be from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
Sunday September 10
- Gran Fondo NY bicycle race will begin and end at the York Fairgrounds. The course is north and west of the Fairgrounds. It does not come into the City. However, it is one to be aware of and may bring extra people into the City this weekend.
