The York Fairgrounds will be hosting the Rock the Country Festival the final weekend in May 2025. Due to the anticipated number of attendees during the event, the City of York will be enforcing the parking restrictions in the residential neighborhoods surrounding the Fair.
The City of York has sought ways to ensure outdoor dining on N George St can take place in an environment that keeps two-way traffic on the street open and yet also makes space for a unique dining experience. As part of this effort, the city has installed a traffic barrier along restaurants on the 100 block of N George St that will keep space for outdoor dining without obstructing traffic.
Pennsylvania American Water has announced that new rates for sewer customers in the City of York will go into effect on May 27. The average increase of $36 monthly was approved by the Pennsylvania Utility Commission.

As of Monday March 24th at 10 am, a new stop sign will be added to the intersection of N Queen St and Arch St. The new stop sign will be on the northbound lane of N Queen at Arch. This will create a 4-way stop, increasing traffic safety for City residents and visitors.
