The City of York today announced that the community Christmas Tree will arrive in Continental Square in downtown York on Wednesday morning, November 12, 2025. Work in cutting down the tree will begin at 7:15 am. The tree will then travel 3.1 miles to its new home.
The exact time of arrival of the tree is likely to be around 9:00 am. All are invited to spend time in the Square during the early morning to watch the arrival.
This year’s tree has been donated by Donald and Sallie Reigart, II of Springettsbury Township. Mayor Michael Helfrich extended an enthusiastic “thank you” to the couple on behalf of all the residents of York City and York County. The tree will be decorated in preparation for the annual Light Up York ceremony on Continental Square on First Friday, December 5.
