City residents and visitors, please be advised that our Spring & Summer newsletter was recently released, listing the 22nd Annual William Shaffer Trout Fishing Derby taking place April 4th. Due to the current COVID-19 health crisis this event has been cancelled as of March 18.
In an effort to protect the wellbeing of our residents and visitors, the City of York announces that the 22nd Annual William Shaffer Fishing Derby, originally scheduled for April 4th, at Kiwanis Lake, is being postponed due to Coronavirus concerns. We ask for your understanding as we continue the implementation of emergency protocols aimed at containing the spread of this virus in the city. Kiwanis Lake will not be stocked with Trout until a new date has been determined for this event.
