The City of York’s Yard Waste Drop-off site will be closing for winter, January through March, and will reopen, weather permitting, on the first Saturday of April, 2024.

The York County Economic Alliance (YCEA), in partnership with the City of York, will begin demolition of the Bascule Gate Dam on the Codorus Creek beginning tomorrow, December 5, as part of an effort to reduce flooding, improve water quality, promote public safety, and prepare for construction of the Codorus Greenway.

The following construction projects are scheduled the week beginning December 4, 2023 and will affect traffic in the City of York. Pending weather or other unexpected events, the projects will affect the indicated roads:

No parking signs will be placed on the 100 block of W King St from Tuesday, December 5 through Friday, December 8 during the hours of 7 am to 5 pm.

The City of York today announced that the community Christmas Tree will arrive in Continental Square in downtown York on Tuesday, November 14, 2023 at approximately 9:15 a.m. All are invited to watch in person or online.
