On Thursday February 24, 2022, City of York Department of Fire Rescue Services will be accepting delivery of two new E-One fire engines. The twin fire engines will be delivered to Fire Station 2, at 273 W. Market St., at 10:00 a.m. They are 2021 and 2022 E-One Typhoon pumper engines, which have been specified by YCFD members to enhance the department and best serve the community. The engines have a pump flow rating of 1500 gpm. They are shorter in length and have been designed with a shorter wheelbase to allow better handling and driving in the tight streets and alleys within the City of York. Once department members have been trained and completed driver training, these engines will be placed in service at Fire Station 1, at King St. and Duke St.; and at Fire Station 5, 833 E. Market St.
