The City of York is pleased to announce that the Treasurer’s Office, the department responsible for the receipt of all revenue for the City of York, has reopened to the public. With the reopening of the Treasurer’s office and cashier windows customers will now be able to pay items such as parking tickets, sewer/refuse bills, and tax bills in person at City Hall Mondays through Fridays (except holidays) between 9:00am and 4:00pm.
Customers are required to maintain social distancing and wear masks upon entering the building. Individuals are encouraged to make payments by mail or to utilize the drop box behind City Hall as staffing is limited and lines may be long. As required, customers paying in person are asked to please pay by personal check, credit card, cashier’s check or money order instead of cash.
Residents wishing to participate in the extended sewer amnesty program are encouraged to apply online – https://www.yorkcity.org/city-services/sewer-amnesty-program-application/ – or by calling 717-849-5223 to set up an appointment to begin the application process in person. All sewer amnesty program applications will be processed by appointment only. The Sewer Amnesty Program has been extended to July 24th.
In an effort to limit person-to-person contact and encourage social distancing, the other bureaus of city government continue to operate by appointment only. Additional in-person operations may be phased in over the next several weeks. To schedule an appointment with other departments please use the City of York directory found on the front page of www.yorkcity.org. Please scroll down on the site to see the list of contacts.
