The City of York reminds residents that the official 2026 Trick-or-Treat Night will take place on Thursday, October 29, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
With Halloween falling on Saturday this year, Thursday evening provides families and neighborhoods with a designated citywide date before the weekend. The coordinated schedule also allows residents, community organizations, and public-safety personnel to plan accordingly.
Residents distributing treats are encouraged to turn on their porch or exterior lights. Families should visit only well-lit homes, ensure children are accompanied by a responsible adult, use sidewalks and designated crosswalks, and carry flashlights or wear reflective materials.
Drivers are reminded to slow down, remain alert, and use additional caution throughout York City during Trick-or-Treat Night.
