The City of York Department of Economic and Community Development is announcing the Micro Business grant application for those City businesses impacted by COVID-19. Applications will be accepted until May 18, 2020.
Grant applications of up to $5,000 per business will be evaluated after the closing date and will be awarded shortly thereafter. The City of York has allocated Federal Community Development Block Grant funding towards supporting its businesses with 5 or fewer employees in the low and moderate income areas of the City.
To qualify, businesses must be located in the City of York, be owned by a City resident, and employ 5 or fewer employees. In order to apply, businesses will be asked to provide proof of expenses and impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on their business, such as a Profit and Loss statement for March and April.
City of York businesses that do not qualify for the Micro Business grant will be informed of future grant opportunities currently being developed in a partnership with the York County Community Foundation and Community First Fund.
