Street Closures and Traffic Advisories in The City of York

The following events will affect vehicle traffic this weekend:

Friday, June 17th

  • Saint Mary’s Cultural Festival 2022 will be in their parking lots and will close Court St. between College Ave. and Church Ave. from 5:00pm to 9:00pm.
  • George Street Dining will close George St. between Philadelphia St. and North St. from 5:30pm to 11:00pm.

Saturday, June 18th

  • St Mary’s Cultural Festival 2022 will be in their parking lots and will close Court St. between College Ave. and Church Ave. from 8:00am to 9:00pm.
  • Miss PA Show Us Your Shoes Parade will begin at 11:00am.  Between 10:00am and 11:00am, Pershing Ave. between Market St. and Philadelphia St. will be closed as a staging area.  When the parade begins at 11:00am, it will go east on Market St. to George St., then north on George St. to Philadelphia St.  George St. will remain closed between Market St. and Philadelphia St. until all the contestants and vehicles can be moved out of that block.  All roadways should be open by 1:00pm.  Flagger Force will be handling traffic control.
  • King Street Jam will close King St. between Duke St. and Queen St. from 10:00am to 10:00pm.  Portions of Howard St. and Newton Ave. will also be closed.
  • George Street Dining will close George St. between Philadelphia St. and North St. from 1:00pm to 11:00pm.
  • Mid-Atlantic Women’s Motorcycle Rally will go through York City along Market St. and Philadelphia St. between 3:30pm and 4:30pm.  There are no road closures or restrictions for this event.

Sunday Jun 19th

  • Juneteenth event at Campus Park/Voni Grimes Gym from 10:00am to 6:00pm will close College Ave. between Duke St. and Queen St.
  • Juneteenth event will close Penn St. between Market St. and Mason Ave. from 5:30pm to 8:30pm.

June 16th through June 27th

  • Miracles for York is an 8-day event with giveaways, boxed foods, tents, stage, audio/video equipment in Allen Park.  There are no road closures, but increased vehicle and pedestrian traffic in this area is likely.
