Parking Restrictions, Traffic Advisories and Street Closings in The City of York

Parking Restrictions for June 29-July 3, 2026. All parking restrictions will be from 7am-5pm.

  • 100 block of S. Queen St.
  • 500 block of S. Queen St.
  • 400 block of W. Philadelphia St.
  • 500 block of W. Philadelphia St.
  • 300 block of E. Locust St.
  • 500 block of N. Pershing Ave.
  • 100 block of S. Pine St.

Parking may be affected throughout the week of June 29-July 3, 2026, as crews work on curb/sidewalk repair

  • Wayne Avenue between N. Sherman Street and Eberts Lane
  • Eberts Lane between Wayne Avenue and E. Market Street
  • N. Albemarle Street between Walnut Street and Wayne Avenue
  • N. Albemarle Street between Wayne Avenue and E. Market Street
  • S. Albemarle Street between E. Market Street and E. King Street
  • W. College Avenue between S. Richland Avenue and S. Hawthorne Street
  • Salem Avenue between S. Hawthorne Street and Grantley Street

The following special events are scheduled for this weekend and will include associated street closures:

Saturday June 27:

  • Dining in the Street will close George St between Philadelphia St and North St between 3:00pm and 10:00pm

The following streets will be CLOSED for Water Main replacement by The York Water Company.

Full Road Closure:

  • Texas Avenue between Delaware Avenue and N. Hawthorne Street Monday, June 29th – Thursday, July 2nd from 7:00am – 4:00pm.
  • Painters Avenue between Wallace Street and Walnut Street Monday, June 29th – Wednesday, July 1st from 7:00am – 4:00pm.
  • Walnut Street between N. Pine Street and Painter Avenue Monday, June 29th – Wednesday, July 1st from 7:00am – 4:00pm.
  • S. Queen Street between E. Market Street and E. King Street Tuesday, June 30th – Wednesday, July 1st from 7:00am – 4:00pm.
  • E. Mason Avenue between S. Queen Street and S. Pine Street Thursday, July 2nd from 7:00am – 4:00pm.
  • S. Beaver Street between W. College Avenue and W. Princess Street Monday, June 29th – Thursday, July 2nd from 7:00am – 4:00pm.

Partial Road Closure:

  • No Partial Road Closures scheduled.
  • Additional Traffic Advisory – York Water Company Codorus Creek Work

The City of York has been notified that the York Water Company will be conducting work on and under the West Market Street Bridge and within the Codorus Creek beginning Monday, June 22, 2026. This activity is permitted by the PA Department of Environmental Protection and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.

Residents and motorists should be aware that traffic patterns in the surrounding area may change during this work period. Anyone traveling near the West Market Street Bridge or adjacent areas should use caution and allow extra travel time.
