The following events will take place this weekend and affect traffic in the City of York:
Friday, June 9
- George Street Dining will close North George Street between Philadelphia Street and North Street from 5:30 pm to 10:00 pm.
Saturday, June 10
- George Street Dining will close North George Street between Philadelphia Street and North Street from 1:00pm to 10:00pm.
- Stop the Violence Block Party will close Lindberg Avenue between West College Avenue and West Church Avenue, and will be in Penn Park from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm.
- Stop the Violence Parade will step off from 325 Mulberry Street at 11:00 am. It will travel south on Hudson Street, south on Sherman Street, west on Princess Street, south on Beaver Street, east on College Avenue, south on Lindberg Avenue, and stop at Penn Park. The route will not be completely shut down during the parade. York City Police Department will be providing a rolling roadblock for this procession. Delays are expected on Sherman Street and Princess Street, and the affected cross streets, between 11:00 am and 2:00 pm.
