American Water Co. has begun line reconstruction along sections of Prospect St to correct dips and depressions in the sanitary and storm lines. The current lines are not allowing proper drainage to the mainlines at Poor House Run.

Christmas tree collections by York City staff will take place city-wide from Monday, January 5th through Friday, January 16th.

Curbside Collections Delayed 1-Day Following Christmas and New Year’s Day Holidays

Due to the Christmas Day holiday on Thursday, December 25th and the New Year’s Day holiday on Thursday, January 1st, ALL regular curbside (trash) collections will be delayed one (1) day following the holidays, affecting Thursday and Friday collections for both weeks.

All residents in the city must have their leaves raked out to the curb by 7:00 A.M. on Monday, December 15, 2025 for final collection.
