Starting Tuesday, September 9, the City of York will begin stump removal from the tree wells in the downtown area on Market Street between Pershing Ave and Duke St.
The City of York Human Relations Commission announces the “No Hate in Our State Town Hall” on September 3, 2025 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at York City Hall, 101 S George St. Speakers will include Clare Twomey, Director of the York Human Relations Commission; Rev. D. Marie Tribble, Pastor of Heidelbergh United Church of Christ; and Christina Wingert, Executive Director of the Rainbow Rose Center. The panel will be moderated by Sheryl Meck, Director of the Pennsylvania Human Rights Commission’s Civil Rights Division.
Due to the Labor Day holiday, Monday, September 1st, ALL regular curbside collections (trash, recycling, and yard waste) will be delayed one day all week.

The City of York invites our York City community to join us for our annual Labor Day Fireworks Display and Festival, sponsored by Highmark Wholecare, Inch & Co., and Patient First.
Artists of all sorts and other vendors will set up at the Colonial Courthouse and the nearby York County Rail Trail as part of Yorkfest in downtown York City, Saturday and Sunday, August 30 and 31, 10 am to 6 pm. Yorkfest is an annual tradition in the city, where vendors display art, crafts, and other talents.
