The City of York is making requests for waste collections that are more convenient for residents with the launch of a new online request system for large item pickups and missed trash collections. Residents can now easily schedule a large item to be picked up or report missed waste collections through the City of York website.
The 39th Annual York Saint Patrick’s Day Parade will be held on Saturday, March 15, 2024. Please be advised this will impact parking along the parade route on Market Street.
Weather permitting, York City curbside customers are reminded that they may start placing yard waste at their designated pick-up point for collection on their regular recycling day, starting Monday, March 3rd.

Per the City of York Hazardous Conditions and Hazardous Driving Policy, the Mayor has declared that a Hazardous Driving Condition exists for tomorrow, Thursday, February 6, 2025, due to icy conditions.
