<p class="Default">On Tuesday evening, July 21<sup>st  </sup>at 6:00 p.m., there will be a rally at Penn Park honoring the life and legacy of Lille Belle Allen. The group will walk on the sidewalks from Penn Park to the 100 block of N. Newberry St., where they will gather in remembrance of Ms.  Allen.</p>

York City Police Department Use of Force Policy Now Publicly Available

Today Mayor Helfrich and Commissioner Robinson announce that the York City Police Department Use of Force Policy is now publicly available on the front page of the City of York’s website at yorkcity.org

Yard Waste Facility Remains Closed During City Furloughs Curbside Yard Waste Collections Continue

The City’s Yard Waste Facility at Memorial Stadium will remain closed for June and July and possibly longer.  The facility will not open as long as the City furloughs of reduced staffing and hours continues.

Bureau of Health Releases Business Friendly Covid-19 Assets and Signage

The City of York Department of Economic and Community Development and City of York Bureau of Health are pleased to announce the release of print ready files in both English and Spanish languages for York property owners and businesses to hang in their facilities.

Monument Dedication

On Wednesday July 29, 2020 at 7:00 p.m., there will be an unveiling and dedication of the headstone. The Laurel Fire Company #1 purchased a headstone to honor their members who died in the line of duty. There are currently three members names on the monument and all three were also members of IAFF Local #627. The headstone has been placed at the base of the Laurel Fire Company #1 monument located at Prospect Hill Cemetery. The ceremony will be casual and is expected to last less than 15 minutes. All members of the fire department and the public are invited. Due to the event occurring during the summer as well as their wish to keep it casual, they ask attendees to dress for comfort. Anyone attending should enter the cemetery at the main entrance on North George Street and proceed to the office on the right. They will have personnel there to supply maps and directions to the Memorial.

No Change for York City Curb Collection

Curbside collections for the July 4<sup>th</sup> holiday will run on the normal schedule in the City of York.  Because the holiday falls on a Saturday this year, collections are not affected.

On Saturday, June 20, 2020, Crispus Attucks Pre-School will be having their graduation ceremony at 605 S. Duke St. Because of this, the 600 Block of S. Duke St. will be closed to vehicular traffic from 3:00 p.m. until 7:30 p.m.

Parking to Resume Operations Beginning May 26, 2020

York City Parking will resume enforcement of the parking meters, parking lots, and operation of the parking garages located at 41 E. Market St., 25 W. Philadelphia St., and 15 W. King St. beginning Tuesday, May 26, 2020.
